Hell Week

So tomorrow is my second organic chem exam, followed by the anatomy practicum on Thursday.....we'll be testing EVERYTHING from the last five weeks or so, 100 questions or more, really big....:( I have so much to do...

What's getting me through this all is the two days off we this weekend, called Fall Break.I got my dad and sister coming down here to visit me, so that's motivating me. :) I told him to get from netflix Kal Ho Naa Ho, a cute movie and my first "Bollywood" movie with SRK. It was pleasant, and I thought pretty nice. I'm not into chick flicks much, let alone romantic movies, but I only watched it 'cause of SRK....he was really funny and sweet in it, I don't know how I'll handle him being serious like in Devdas or whatever.

So yeah, can't wait to watch it with my sister. I told her I cried a lot in the movie, because there was a lot of emphasis on mothers in it, and I know from personal experience how much sacrifice a mother goes through, seeing as how mine has done so much for me. those moments in movies really get to me, so maybe it's a personal thing...

Well, enough of that! I have to go re-learn cat muscles and whatnot, seeing as how I almost failed the lab quiz for the cat muscles. :( And I really did fail the Organic Chem exam, so let's hope for a good one tomorrow.

I really have to credit my great friends here, though. They are great emotional support, in that I can be myself around them and goof off. We indulged in some gossip today, it was really funny 'cause we all thought the same things about the other "friends" we have here at the college. They also know I struggle here at the college, so their help is always appreciated.

One more awesome thing that popped up recently is--Amitabh Bachchan's blog!! I am just astounded at how I am able to read the thoughts of the most successful/Big actor in Bollywood....it's like reading Dustin Hoffman's blog (which I'd PAY for....:) :) )

And Amitabh is very handsome for a 66-year old...toupee or not, his baritone voice is amazing. He certainly acts/looks like a king, doesn't he? Statuesque and regal, haha. And his philosophical thoughts are quite interesting to read, actually. It's nice to hear about bollywood and India from an insider's point of view.

Well, now i REALLY have to go. Later...

Oh Allah!

Haha no, I'm not Muslim....but I've been hearing that word a lot lately. :)

I've gotten kinda obsessed with all things bollywood. It started with curious browsing on youtube to see what was all that with bollywood. After the bollywood-themed Psych episode with a gorgeous Sendhil, I went back and checked and rediscovered my fascination with Devdas. The dancing is amazing. THEN, I found the clip where Madhruti sings to this guy, who I guessed was Devdas....so I didn't really know who he was, but he had this really intense look.

I looked him up, and slowly came to realize how awesome he was. Shahrukh Khan.

Yes. Not only is he good looking for his age, but that earthy, intense feel in the clips I've seen is awesome. I can't imagine what it's like in context of the whole film itself...so I hunted some down on Veoh, and will wake up extra early tomorrow to watch some.

Oh yeah, and that nice shirtless video, haha.....ha.....

well, back to studying more ORganic. Ugh. SRK, save me!!

Yeah I'm studying for my anatomy muscle quiz tomorrow, gotta remember all the movements...blah. Gabriel & Dresden remixes are getting me through it, though. A youtube commenter was right, whatever those two touch is gold. :) Too bad they "broke up." I'm glad they touched a Depeche Mode song, I almost squeed when I heard the song pop up on my radio. :) :) Wonderful, wonderful....

What I really came on here to write about was to gush about this guy I saw while walking to the school building for my cultural class. We were all just traversing down the walkway, everyone was in front of me, etc. etc. The guy, he had hair up in a two-tie half-ponytail, so I couldn't tell his gender....but as I glanced down I could tell. He glanced back at me a couple times, aahh yummy. Those dark-eyed Latino/Middle Eastern/Light Indian types. :) Really hot. Reminded me of Naveen Andrews, ah, yummy....

While we're on the subject, Sendhil on Psych last week was SOOO CUTE, his shining eyes were adorable. :)

Uh, what's also hot is MAD MEN. I just started watching the show after my friend kept talking about it, I saw the season two finale on the airplane on the way back to the US. I watched it without sound, but Christina Hendricks caught my eye, since I recognized her from Firefly. She filled out a lot, and for the best. :) What a curvy goddess, wowza.

But what really made me plug in the headset was (I didn't know his previous status until my roommate/suitemate/friend told me) sulky Angel spawn Vincent Kartheiser...his baby face was quite the eye catcher. However, I ruined probably the HUGEST plot thing for the show, dammit. Now I'm almost done with season 1, aaahhh I wish I hadn't ruined it for me......:(

However, the Peggy and Pete hook up in the ep I watched was awesome. Pete is hilarious, but needs to sort out his issues so poor Peggy stops getting hurt. She's my favorite, pretty bad ass when she wants to.

Also, update since summer post....yeah, physics I missed passing by a couple percent, AGAIN happening.....ugh. What sucks is that I'm just sucking up dry my family's money...and dad out of a job isn't helping. :( However, I made it into 2nd year, which I was praying for last year. So...let's just try hard! NO more failing classes, that's for sure....

Eh, back to muscles.

MAHABHARAT and other things

Bwaaah, so I find myself stuck in St. Louis because I missed passing chemistry by .7%. I beat myself up everynow and then, thinking of what it'd be like since I would be HOME. :(

Even worse news is that summer physics ends the EXACT day of the Depeche mode concert. :( BOO HOO, I won't get to see my beautiful dave and angelic martin....gosh.

Good news is that I rejoined my Star Trek simm, where I get to play my awesomest character ever, Vivian Edwards. She's based on Shikamaru from Naruto, but is extremely quirky. :P

Speaking of manga, I'm also super excited about the funimation dub for One Piece. I'm also excited my roommate/friend Dana will be trying the series out, I hope she likes it. She liked Dragonball, and considering how the manga-ka for One Piece worships the author of Dragonball...heh heh.

Okay, biggest news yet is that I just found out about an Indian (From India) epic on par with The Iliad, Mahabharata. I found the ebook of the translation, and I'm reading it and then watching the Live action version I found on youtube. I'm really excited--live action? YES! Not to mention most of the guys in it are really cute, soo....and they're usually royalty, so double bonus. The other cool thing is that I also found the main story of Lord Rama, Ramaya? or something. :P I'm all set. The funny thing is, I heard more about the Lord rama stuff from my World Myths book I got years ago when I was in middle school....I guess it pays to read. :)

But serious news...This coming week is the last week of chemistry, and I have to kick butt on the last quiz and final exam or i"m SCREWED. So much pressure, aaaaghh....hopefully my lab points help bring up the grade. even by 3 percent is good. :(

Okay well time to go back to Indian epics.....

'tIl next time.

Concerting Concerting....

I wrote the title out to the tune of "promises promises"....heh heh...

Yeah I just went to a Flogging Molly one, freaking inSANE. Being st. patty's, it's understandable that the mosh pit went nuts, but I forgot. Yeah, I forgot. And when the band came out to Blitzkrieg Bop, my friend and sister and I got thrown around like a bag of potatoes. CRAZY. I wouldn't have minded if I wasn't wearing glasses, but I always have been...yeesh.

Good concert, though. Very lively. my third FM one so far. :) I got to say hi to Dennis, the guitarist. :D And saw their accordionist, Matt Hensley, up close with my eyes for the first time (So thankful he's still touring with them.)

Anyways, geez after reading my posts the whole "i'm going to MEtallica thing", uh, yeah that was like four months ago. oh geez....well I wrote a concert review of them for my college newspaper, which never got printed. Let's just say in a nutshell seeing Kirk Hammett being able to fit in tight jeans was WORTH it (as well as the tear-jerking harmonies between him and James....mmm!) Beautiful. Just beautiful. And to eat them up with my eyes. (I've loved Metallica ever since my uncle gave me the Black Album when I was like....13? 14?)

Ermkay, and so next update is that I got tickets for Depeche mode this summer!!! Super special, since I think Depeche Mode's the only band I listen to that have super sexy songs, and a super sexy frontman (sorry I'm into older guys, they usually look better....) As a youtuber commented on a video, Dave has matured into a fucking awesome frontman. I couldn't agree less....

Not to mention I've never even been to a live dj set, so seeing as how they synth things up it'll be the closest thing to it. I had to walk past a poster of ATB many times at the Congress Theater when I was seeing Flogging MOlly.....this Saturday the man will be dj-ing.....super sad face. :((

After Depeche Mode I will be all set for my top 5 bands, having Rammstein and Daft Punk left. (For Rammstein, getting them over here will be a hassle, and getting over to Germany will be one. Same for Daft Punk, not to mention they won't be using the light pyramid no more. NOOOO)

Buuutt.......seeing gorgeous Dave dance it out will be totally worth it......so excited.

Let's just pass chemistry and physics this summer and I'll be okay.

My aunt gave me an early birthday present, which included an Ipod shuffle.

WHHAAAT?! i feel a ton more pressure now, geeez.....but thanks. :) She's so nice. Her kids are cute, but sometimes (okay usually) really brattish.....oh well hoping for the best.

I also made my first snailarium with snails that came with a bunch of Vietnamese long collianders that my mom bought. We got around 16 tiny snails in a huge glass jar. i can't tell which is which, but one tried to escape and we temporarily named it Speed Racer.

I also visited my old high school, it was weird but good, seeing my underclassmen friends. Seeing old teachers was fun, too. I'm still glad I'm not going there anymore, though....but I'm not happy to go back to school next week. Ew.

well....DEPECHE MODE.

pictures later when the computer isn't freezing up. -_-

I don't feel like I have anything to write when I get to the blog page.

Other than at the moment I really, really, passionately, like 80's New Wave.

I was listening to New Order's "True Faith" (I fell in love), and I just realized that it was played during American Psycho.

HA. That movie was so messed up. Yet entertaining. (Say it in the Bateman fake-enthusiastic voice.)

By the way, feed me a stray cat.

I also thought Pete Burns was wildly entertaining back when Dead or Alive was around. (He looked better, too.)

I also admire people who age gracefully (*cough* Pete Burns didn't *cough*)

I think that's like a "HOLY SHIT WTF HAPPENED" moment.

...David Sterry from Real Life looks normally old.

Not too bad.

What surprised me was that Axl Rose doesn't look that old. 46, yeah...he was a cutie back then though. I agree with what someone said online. Now he looks like a "ginger Ali G"...haha.

And on the topic of New Wave, how about David Gorgeous Gahan from Depeche Mode.....

Now that's a concert I would go psycho at. Like, nuts. Insane. Even more so than for the

METALLICA

concert this Monday. Pretty excited...this'll be my first time hearing their songs live. The tickets were ghastly, but seeing as how they might not play much longer (Lars said it all depended on his drumming's stamina....*tear*). I'm sitting by the runway so I can get me some yummy Kirk goodness.

Well time to start some homework like I was supposed to...then I'll watch me a Denzel movie. Also another yummy...
to think he's just 53.....

Oh, and a list after my own heart: GILFy Pleasures (Grandpa/Granda I'd Like to.....:D :D)
