Okay okay I bet this is the last entry because nothing interesting will happen during the school week, at least, I think so...
So in the last entry I expressed my desire (yes) to see cute Vietnamese boys at the Mass....wow, God's just trying to motivate me to study, huh?? The craziest coincedence happened, woooow.
(All will be clear soon.)
Okay, this requires some backstory. Like probably last month I was getting a movie from the library with Dana and Ann, and since I usually do the checking out and stuff I approach the desk to give the person the movie and my card.
And wow, that person was cy-ute! He was an Asian guy with pretty eyes and delicate features, not too feminine but very cute. (And taller then me...lean, nice.) I got to see him twice there, and then I noticed him in the cafeteria and read his name on his backpack. I laughed to myself, since his first name, when said differently, mean's "Ant," my little cousin's nickname! And they have the same last name (due to the Nguyen deal back in Vietnam....) I even told my aunt, my cousin's mother, and she warned me not to call him Ant to his face, haha I told I wouldn't dare...'course I found his page on facebook and agree he looks pretty in pictures as well. :) (Not stalkerish at ALL....)
Well, fast forward to this morning where I find out I'm going to the Vietnamese children's Mass, where my aunt is overseeing the thing....We sit in the back, thankfully. Funnily enough, all the teens are sitting back there, I'm being silly and myself and we plop down. Then I notice the guy in front of looking familiar, when I walked past him that is. A few head-turns later and I think he's from my school.
Later after Mass I ask him, and yeah, he is. Yikes! The craziness!! Of all Vietnamese parishes, and of all the seats in that room, yeah, I sit behind the guy who goes to my school and is the most decent-looking Vietnamese guy I've seen yet.
He's a fourth year (I must have had an impressed look 'cause he brushed it off saying it doesn't mean anything,) and even crAZIER is that my aunt knows of him and his family as well (His other brothers are engineers and eye doctors...wow). I think the genes are ever-present, because his older sister (just graduated from pharmacy) came by to fetch him and she was very pretty as well. Her air of maturity really showed, compared to the flirty teen Viet girls there (haha they made me laugh though. Yeah when the Father was asking questions they were trying to sabotage it, pretty funny....but I felt bad for him. )
And yes now friending him on Facebook wasn't so creepy 'cause now we've really met face to face. I dunno what's going to become of this, I mean, being friends would be cool but that brings up another aspect this morning's experience showed me....
See, (yes, as you can see in my facebook pictures as well,) I have about 2 Vietnamese friends, and that's it (one's my 2nd cousin, so kinda counts.) I've never had the "Vietnamese-community" thing going on, and from this morning it looks fun. Just hanging out with people of your own heritage who totally understand what family life is like....It would be nice, to complain about parental pressures with someone who really understands.
But there's a reason why I haven't been in such an experience...my mom. She knows of Vietnamese women's catty-ness and amazing ability to gossip. I talked to her last night for a while, and yeah we agree her family is pretty silly, believing someone's word over her own, their daughter/sister. I mean, seriously, what gives? It all stems from assumptions and gossip....makes it worse that it's in her own family. :( But yeah....man, Viet gossip is crazy!! I hate it so much...so yeah, I guess my mom didn't want to deal with it and doesn't associate with the Viets in our area.
Now for Bac Hau (my aunt), I guess she's okay with it 'cause she wants to help the kids in their Cathechism (learning about the Catholic faith.) I agree, it's pretty important in Catholicism, 'cause then it helps answer the questions that start popping up as a kid. I wish "American" parishes did that more often, more in-depth anyway...maybe not enough kids? (At least in mine.)
But yes, I did snigger at my aunt a lot during Mass....no crying this time, 'cause i was busy staring at the back of the guy's head trying to make sure I knew him. Oh, and yes, I did mention the "ant" thing, haha...
WELL, this was a pleasant study break....some last cramming and we'll call it a day.
Oh yeah, Rammstein stuff...okay i dunno if it's still there but the National Geo pic of the day thing on my side bar shows an ice ship or something with EPIC ice/snow swirls around it--wait for it--Almost like the cover of Rosenrot, the prevoius Rammstein album! Whaaat?? Coincedences today are craazy...
Here it is just in case it disappears: http://photography.nationalgeographic.com/photography/enlarge/icebreaker-antarctic-swithinbank.html
Epic.
**Edit** YES, it IS on the rosenrot cover! Wow, I even impress myself with this random Rammstein hardcore-fan stuff....Yeah I check up on Wiki, it's the USS Atka, which, yes, is on the NatGeo POD. Wow. I should stop getting so surprised today....

Andd yeah, i listened to the album on youtube and boy Liebe Ist fur Alle Da is awesome. Awesome enough to buy? Ha, yes. But I"ll have to buy it on my own, dunno what my dad will think about a song called "pussy" (and yes, listening to it on its own without being distracted by the video makes it better...good stuff.) One of the songs had Till's voice soaring, it gave me goosebumps (when I read the lyrics translation it was even better.)
OKAY that's enough, time to go.
